About Checkpoint 38

Checkpoint ’38 is a single-player, narrative-focused simulation game inspired by document-inspection gameplay, set between 1938 and 1943.

You play as Franz Weber, a German border guard stationed at the Kreuzlinger Tor checkpoint in Konstanz, a real border crossing between Nazi Germany and neutral Switzerland.

Your responsibility is to inspect travelers’ documents and decide whether they are allowed to cross the border, denied entry, or detained, based on rules and orders that evolve over time.
